Forex - Weekly outlook: 07.23 - 07.27

The euro fell 86 points against the dollar on Monday (July 23). In the Asian session, the euro continued to rise slightly against the dollar on Friday, rising to a session high of 1.1750 before falling back.
Spot gold was hovering below the $1,230 / oz mark in early Asian trading on Tuesday (July 24) as pressure continued to build.
So far this year, the renminbi has fallen 4.13 per cent against the dollar, 4.40 per cent against the dollar at the spot and 4.55 per cent against the offshore renminbi, according to the China foreign exchange trade centre. Over the same period, the dollar index rose 2.5 percent.
On Thursday, barnier, the eu's chief brexit negotiator, rejected proposals in the UK white paper on tariffs and post-brexit trade relations, with the next round of brexit talks set to begin in mid-august. The news sent the pound plummeting, extending its one-day decline to more than 0.5 percent.
